C5ISR Electrical Engineer II

The selected applicant will apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques to develop and resolve moderately complex technical issues associated with US Navy communications systems and networks including software defined transceivers and amplification devices. The applicant will create and analyze moderately complex engineering documentation and work with new and existing equipment currently deployed aboard US Navy ships.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Applicants must be currently residing in, or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of related post degree experience
• Understanding of communications theory of operation and digital networks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment or independently
• Ability to be self motivated
• AutoCAD and Inventor experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Military or shipboard electronics operational experience
